Dental implants

Dental implants offer an effective, long-lasting way to replace one or more missing teeth. They are small titanium posts which are placed in the jaw and eventually fuse with the surrounding bone. Once healed, implants behave in a similar way to natural tooth roots, providing a solid foundation for replacement teeth, which can include crowns, bridges or dentures.

When in place, dental implants can restore your smile, improve how you eat and speak, prevent shrinkage of the bone, and help keep existing teeth firmly in place. However, meticulous oral hygiene is necessary to maintain your implant.

Although we don’t offer dental implants at Horsford Dental Practice, we do work closely with a local periodontist who can perform this smile enhancing procedure.
